Who Writes This Site
Every company profile and article is compiled and reviewed by the Houston Oil Companies Data Team, a small group of energy-industry researchers and writers who specialize in turning public filings and corporate disclosures into clear, comparable company profiles. We do not accept payment from companies to be listed, featured, or described more favorably. A company's sector classification, revenue, headcount, and history are reported from the public record, not from anyone paying for placement.
How We Build Each Profile
For each operator we capture the essentials energy professionals look up first — sector and subsector, headquarters, founding, employee count, revenue, leadership, and website — then write an original overview, history, and operations summary, and a set of plain-English answers to the questions people most often ask about the company. Where a figure is an estimate or a point-in-time disclosure rather than a current audited number, we say so. The aim is that an investor, job seeker, or reporter could cite any fact here and trace it back to its public source.
Our Approach
The directory is free to use. There is no paywall, no email gate, and no required account. We believe public information about public companies should be easy to find and easy to read. We support the Site through unobtrusive advertising and partnerships with related Houston energy resources.
